Commercial ports

The commercial port of Toulon is located in one of the most beautiful bays in Europe, very protected and accessible in all weather conditions, allowing regular traffic without the hazards brought by the weather.

The commercial port of Toulon enjoys a central position in the western Mediterranean on the Italy/France/Spain axis and has direct links by road and rail with the whole of the west European hinterland. It is an ISPS port, and its safety is boosted by the presence of France's largest naval base in the bay.
Activities at the commercial port of Toulon are spread across three terminals (Toulon Côte d'Azur, La Seyne/Brégaillon Nord and Sud) essentially focusing on ferry traffic, cruises and short sea shipping (ro-ro traffic, new cars and foot passengers). The port of Toulon is the largest port serving foot passengers for Corsica and in the beginning of 2005 became home to the first sea motorway to Italy.
